The Tolkien Mailing Competition (TLV) took place for the 20th time in this academic year, it was international for the 13th time, and for the third time the Quendi category was open not only for individual competitors, but also for teams. Are Tjihkkom, a linguist with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oslo, has published his Lule Sámi translation of The Hobbit in 2023. The Lassi Laurië is the journal of the Hungarian Tolkien Society. It is published in print since 2002 and also online since 2017. Every issue contains reports and photos of recent Hungarian Tolkien Society events and many other articles about the works and world of Tolkien in Hungarian. Online published issues are freely available for download here at the Tolkien.hu portal and each has an English summary on the second page. Submissions are welcome!
