The Hungarian Tolkien Society invites every fantasy-lovers from all around the world to a special Art Workshop with Ted Nasmith, Canadian painter and illustrator of several books of Tolkien, including The Lord of the Rings and The Silmarillion. The workshop will be the part of our biggest event in the year, Tolkien's Birthday (5th January 2014, 9:30 am - 21:00 pm) with many other interesting programs, most of them for free.

Ted Nasmith became widely recognised as illustrator of Tolkien’s novels. Besides painting, Ted is a renowned Tolkien-expert and musician; he is a guitarist, singer and songwriter.
His paintings, with their abundant light-effects and poetic atmosphere, juxtapose American luminism with straightforward yet elevated Victorian-neoclassicist trends. Participants of this workshop will be able to explore some features of Mr Nasmith’s sceneries.
