The Creative Autumn Meeting ("CAM", or "KÖMT" in Hungarian) is normally a long weekend of lectures and workshops about various subjects: Tolkienite or creative or anything the participants know about and want to share. Usually it is held at the end of October, in a school building somewhere in Hungary and attended by about a hundred people, mostly members of our community. Traditionally this is also our most international event: since 2008 we have received guests from Slovenia, Austria, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic, and we hope to welcome many more!
But in 2020, everything is a bit different. Instead of the KÖMT in October, we will have a KOMT in November (Creative Online Meeting, so "COM" in English). It is our first big event online, but we are trying our best, and we did not want to let go the international tradition, either: we would like to invite all our foreign friends to join us on the international day of this event, the 29th of November.
The event will be held primarily through Microsoft Teams and Discord.

We do not know yet what an online CAM (COM) will look like, but you can read about the traditional offline version in this article.
We want to decide by the 23th of November (Monday) which programmes should be held in English, so please, let us know about your plans by then! (Not so much time left to think about it, we know, sorry.)

Programme
Although organised by the Hungarian Tolkien Society, the programmes of the KOMT/CAM are not necessarily about Tolkien in the first place. We encourage creative workshops, games, physical activities, but also lectures of any subject the participants are ready to speak about. You are also welcome to add something to the programme!
The planned Sunday programme:
08:30-09:00 - Welcome!
09:00-12:00 - Morning workshops/lectures - please choose from the list below!
12:00-13:00 - Lunch break
13:00-18:00 - Afternoon workshops/lectures - please choose from the list below!
18:00-20:00 - Stage Night*
20:00-21:00 - Closing of the event
Besides these timed events, there will be also some more flexible community stuff!
*We do not know yet, how long and how language-specific the Stage Night will be, it depends on the productions. It would be a combination of previously submitted videos and short online productions. You are very welcome to contribute to the Stage Night. You can check out what an IRL Stage Night looks like: recordings are available on Youtube from 2018 and 2019.
You can see below the list of the workshops and lectures planned for Sunday. The language of these depends on whether there will be any English-speaking (non-Hungarian-speaking) participants, so please let us know your choices as soon as possible. There is also a limit for the number of participants for many of the workshops!
These workshops and activities will be mixed language (Hungarian and English) based on the priorities of the actual participants:
09:00-10:00 - Morning stretching (physical activity: no participant limit)
09:00-12:00 - Tabletop Simulator strategy game - Warhammer 40K Kill Team (game: 1-4 participants)
13:00-14:00 - Among us (game: 5-10 participants)
13:00-17:00 - Medieval-style embroidery (creative activity, you need your own tools: 2-6 participants)
14:00-15:00 - Hand and face massage workshop: how to massage your own hands and face (physical activity: no participant limit)
17:00-18:00 - Show your own Tolkien-collection! (interactive video meeting: 2-15 participants)
17:00-18:00 - Training animals: at the zoo, in the movies or at home (lecture/presentation: no participant limit)
17:00-18:00 - Proprioceptive training: balancing exercises to strengthen your ankles and knees (physical activity: no participant limit)
These will be held either in Hungarian or in English, depending on the preferences of the first participants:
13:00-16:00 - Water+Colour = Aquarell (creative workshop, you need your own tools, 1-12 participants)
13:00-17:00 - One shot RPG session (2-5 participants)
These will be held full English in case of any English-speaking participant:
11:00-12:00 - What is PCR and how does it work? (lecture/presentation about the biochemical processes happening during PCR and qPCR and how these are used in Covid-19 testing - no participant limit)
13:00-14:00 - Super green - eco/green household tips for beginner and practicing greenies (interactive conversation, no participant limit)
14:00-15:00 - Everything you always wanted to know about the Vikings but were too afraid to ask (interactive Q/A - 5-15 participants)
15:00-17:00 - Conquer Middle-earth Trivia Board Game (game - 3-5 participants)
There may be some other activities added to the programme in the following days. You are also very welcome to make your own lecture or workshop: if pre-registration is not needed, we can add these to the programme any time, but the sooner the better.
